OUR LEAGUE WATSON (League 4) Championships are now live on My Swim Results and open for your entries. The League Watson Championships are a Target Meet for all SSSC junior swimmers wishing to participate in the End of Season Championships and a necessary requirement in order to qualify for entry if you are not already competing in the Club Premierships team.
If you are unsure which events to enter, please discuss this with your coach as soon as possible. They will be happy to help you plan for the best possible success. Good luck. Go South Shore!

OPEN WATER NATIONALS was an incredible four days of hard work, success and celebration. Please enjoy our round up of some behind the scenes action and some of our favourite shots.
Special thanks and huge congratulations go out to our Head Coach, Craig Murray. His passion for swimming and open water in particular is infectious and clearly this team have caught the bug. Craig’s dedication to his swimmers extends far beyond training sessions and meets and we couldn’t be more grateful.
Thank you to Rebecca Dreverman for being the glue that holds the extended SSSC family together. You seem to be in multiple places at once with your finger on all the pulses. We are eternally grateful for you.
Thank you to the ever dedicated roving families of support that transport, feed, house, pamper, cheer, console and fund these extraordinary experiences.
Congratulations to each and every one of our swimmers during the festival. You represented our club with pride and passion and we couldn’t be prouder. Thank you 💛❤️🖤

OWS NATIONALS QUALIFIER, JONAH WHITBY is a long standing member of our South Shore family and although sadly unable to take part in nationals this year, Jonah’s achievements in qualifying do not go unnoticed. We know with hard work and dedication there will be plenty of greatness to come in the future, Jonah. Congratulations and well done.
OWS NATIONALS QUALIFIER, LUKE PETITE is our newest South Shore Swimming Club Member and comes with a wealth of experience and knowledge in the open water field. OWS NATIONALS QUALIFIER, KATE WALLINGTON loves swimming, it’s her passion and it shows! Lucky for all of us, she’s wonderful at it and great to watch. Known for her exceptional butterfly, don’t discount her strength and determination and she powers freestyle through those ocean waves. We’re so proud and right there cheering you on, Kate! Good luck. 👏
OWS NATIONALS QUALIFIER, EBEN PRINSLOO is another of our dedicated swimmers who probably spends more time in the water than he does on land. Although still in his teenage prime, you could consider Eben somewhat of a veteran of open water swimming. His passion, determination, grit and boundless energy always sees him in good stead and we’re so proud to watch and support you through your journey. Congratulations and good luck, Eben!

🔔🥉MEDAL ALERT!!🥉🔔
CONGRATULATIONS to our 2023 Australian Open Water Medalist, Thomas Dreverman for his fantastic 7.5km swim at Busselton this afternoon where he secured the bronze medal for 16yo Boys. 👏
OWS NATIONALS QUALIFIER, TOM DREVERMAN might just spend more time in the water than he does on land and the effort is definitely worth it. Tom’s experience in open water swimming sees him right at home in this space. With many years of nationals qualification already under his belt and a previous open water national medalist to boot, we are always excited to see what he has in store for us. Congratulations again on your bronze medal in the 7.5km and good luck for the 5km on Saturday, Tom! #swimwa
NO TRAINING on Thursday for any squads at South Shore Swimming Club. Stay safe and enjoy the time with your family.
OWS NATIONALS QUALIFIER, JAIMEE TRAEGER is a passionate and dedicated swimmer who is an excellent role model to both our junior and senior swimmers. This is Jamiee’s second year as a national qualifier for open water swimming. Jaimee hit the water full of passion and determination at the very beginning of the open water season, securing her 5km qualifying time during Round 1 in Karratha, followed by her 7.5km qual time during Round 2 at Leighton. Congratulations and good luck in Busselton, Jaimee. We’re so very proud of you! 👏
OWS NATIONALS QUALIFIER, SAMUEL ZOLLNER is our newest OWS national qualifier at South Shore Swimming Club and his performances this open water season have been going from strength to strength. Sam first qualified for the 5km during Round 4 in Bunbury and seemed more surprised than anyone. Only to follow up such an incredible feat with a 7.5km qual time during Round 6 at Mullaloo. In the words of Coach Craig, “Back Yourself”, Sam. We can’t wait to see what you’ve got in store! Congratulations and good luck.
